The TOD Training Team
Three locally and/or nationally prominent firms that specialize in TOD training and implementation will facilitate the workshops, working with municipalities to further develop their modules to address local issues.
They are:
- The Project for Public Spaces, which is leading this effort, the
- Regional Plan Association and

What they will do
The consulting group will facilitate a series of workshops on Transit-Oriented Development. They presented several training modules at the full-day opening workshops for the "Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) - Building Quality Communities around Transit" program. They are now working directly with officials from the municipalities that will be serving as the case studies for the TOD program, reviewing sites and base maps, while conferring with them toward developing the site-specific segments of the training program.
Project Team has and will continue to guide members of the TOD training group, providing them with study documents and other project resources. Additionally, the training team has and will continue to receive guidance from Westchester County and Rockland County planning officials.
The technical assistance that the training team provides is intended to enable participants to develop strategies for creating neighborhoods of long-term value and prosperity while addressing 21st Century challenges and opportunities.
