Level 2 Screening Criteria Public Workshops

Overview
Workshops were held in July 2003, where the preliminary results of the Level 1 screening process were shared and discussed. Approximately 188 people attended the two meetings held in Westchester County and in Rockland County. The 15 corridor-wide scenarios, developed from the 72 alternative elements that passed the Level 1 screening, were presented, and the reasons why certain alternative elements were eliminated were reviewed. The draft evaluation criteria for the Level 2 screening process were also discussed.
The workshops took place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the New York Power Authority in White Plains, New York on July 29, 2003 and at the Palisades Center in West Nyack on July 30, 2003.
